Hawk In Space

Someone's got a great sense of humor.

This year, Stephen Hawking got a ride on the "Vomit Comet". For those of you who are unfamiliar, the V.C. is a specially outfitted Boeing 727 which climbs very high into the sky, and then plummets downward, providing the simulation of weightlessness.
So, Stephen Hawking, the God of Theoretical Physics, the man who literally wrote the book on Gravity, goes up and gets to fly weightless, free from all earthly tethers, and someone had the presence of mind to toss an apple into the frame. A delightful nod to Newton.

This photo is one of the reasons why I love humans so much.

Have a great weekend. Be excellent to each other.
